    Thanks Suit and sorry for only taking the problem part way to the answer. I guess I figured that solving the equation would be trivial from there.

    Yea... I got confirmation on the nhtele/dima answer from one of my oldest daughters college classmates. Seems like a pretty tough question for a 13 yr. old.

    <Rant>... homework for middle school kids is out of control. She has a minimum of 2 hours homework every night. Sometime 3-4 hours worth. Completely rediculous. She's a kid who's very dedicated to school and her sport, but is constantly forced to compromise one or the other due to the homework load. Kids should be allowed to have a life after school. </Rant>
