well, if you wanted to get high off what i deal, you could, but it's not normally intended for those purposes.

yo arno, they're 188's 112-80-102 definitely skiable, but have had some work done in the past. currenly have *gasp* marker m51s. they're yours, just say the work and i'll bring them into work this week.

I guess the follow-up question would be:

why do you buy what you buy?

or perhaps "why do you buy so much gear" for those who have been purchasing more than 1 pair a year.

my buddies all ask "why do you need so many skis? It's not like you can ride more than 1 pair at a time."

where the heck did you find those Powder Pluses still in the shrink?

i keep finding old "classic" skis, but none end up really being worth the $
(I've found several pairs of McG's, a pair of Dynamic Powder skis, and some Dynastar Flames(not sure which model on these), but none have really felt like a worthy purchase).

If someone buys my big daddies I will be getting praxis so hopefully they sale.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

I did the same thing with pool cues when I started pool. At one time I had 20 odd sticks. After I figured out what I liked I pared it down to just 2 that I play with and a couple of collectors items. Along the way I learned how to make them and how different materials and construction types translated to feel.

With skis, I started out with the idea that I wanted to try some classic skis, then it morphed to I want to try a ski that's narrow (Elan HCX @ 63mm) all the way to fat (Kingswood @ 116mm) and many skis in between. Then I had to try a swallowtail. Then I had to try a rocker/reverse sidecut ski (Spats).

I suppose I'll find a few favorites, sell off most of the rest replacing them with some backups for the favorites and then just try a couple of new models each year after that.

They were mounted with Markers for a very large foot (guessing 30 plus mondo) when I got them, but as far as I could tell had never seen snow - no top sheet or base damage. I mounted new Rossi Axial 12 din bindings for a 315mm bsl and skied on them less than one day.

I would do $150 for just the skis or $250 for the setup. I paid $140 for the bindings just a couple of months ago but if they work for you I'll let'em go. IIRC we have the same boot size so this might be better than redrilling.

I also like trades up or down - looking for the following:
Anything off the gear list I haven't tried - esp. custom goodies
    916s, P18s, FF17s
Arcteryx wear in XL for jackets and L for pants.

A guy pointed me to a guy who pointed me to a guy. Do a search in Gear Swap. There was a thread a while back from a guy in CO who had a lot of them.

Got new JP vs Juliens last march and only put 3 days on them. Mounted them with some 900s 9-16s which I took off an old pair of yellow rockets that I bought at the same time. Also got new ARGs last week mounted with a pair of 916 zz labs.

Sold the Rockets as well as a pair of 191 10.exs w/997s and old blue 177 1080s w/810s.

I found some Dynastar Big's and Laquoix Powders unmounted, 10+ year old skis and they still want too much.

Definitely interested... Are those the original Axials or the Axial2 ? My boot sole is 315mm too (may be 316 - can't remember -- but it's one of those two).

Since you mentioned the gear list, would you be interested in a trade for 190 Volkl Snow Rangers, near-mint condition? Tops, bases, edges all look immaculate -- like 1-2 days use, max. Currently mounted with Salomon 900 Equipe IIRC (may be 997 Equipe -- can't remember offhand); whichever one it is, it's a 6-14 DIN binding.
