How Many Skis Have You Bought This Season?

I see a lot of folks shelling out for multiple pairs of new skis on the TGR boards.

I swear I've read posts by folks who have bought EHPs, DP Lotus', ARGs, and Praxis.

So, how many skis have you bought this year (models, lengths), why and what are they're intended use (i.e. how much will you really ride them in comparison to the rest of your quiver...or are you selling off old skis to make room for the new)?

    Me:
    1 pair Spats

may buy a pair of older M:EXs, a pair of older Titan 9's, and a pair of Sick Birds. And still eying the Bros.

188 stiff Bro's with nx21's intend as an almost daily patrol ski and of course touring, they should see some good use this season.

190 Powder Rides because thay were cheap and I wanted something fatter & stiffer than my Sugar Daddies, likely won't see a lot of use due to purchase #2 - 190 EHP's.
After last weeks demolition of my 777's, I'll be picking up another pair of them pretty soon. So it'll be three pairs for this year.
Expect 8 or 10 days on my skinny skis, 20 +/- on the EHP's (incl a couple of cat trips) and the other 30 or 40 days on the Elans.
I know my priorities must have been screwed up, because when I was in a position to ski 100+ days there's no way I could have afforded to collect as many pairs of the new fatties as some.

2 pairs. both were insanely good deals

1 pair of 188 stiff Bros for less than the cost of a meal at a nice restaurant. Mounted with NX21s from UAN's group buy.
1 pair of 184 Scott P3's from SAC. Mounted with PX12s from SAC.

    ^nor am I a spoiled brat.

i more or less gave up drinking and collecting comic books. don't have a girlfriend, and thankfully don't have student loans or car payments to pay off. thus extra dinero goes to skiing.

i figure if I purchase 4 pairs this year, I'm done for a good while.

i was more intrigued by posts from some TGR faithful who had purchased EHPs, DPs, ARGs AND Praxis skis, which seemed a bit excessive.

then again if you're skiing 50+ and charging, I'm sure you're burning through a pair or two.

me, I got in 39 days last season and i'm a rather conservative skier, so i don't imagine I'll burn through any of my current quiver all that quickly.

    Liquidated most everything for:

    183 Sugar Daddies + NX21
    190 Powder Plus
most likely 182 Sallyman Foils for park.

Only thing I kept was an older pair of Spats. Quiver is done for now.

    This year I got:

    Spatulae (thanks to Natty Dread)
old Piste Stinx from the ski swap

My everyday #1s will remain my 179 SVs that I picked up halfway through last year. I have some beater skis as well for days that require beater skis. I figure the Spats are going to be great for days when it is soft/deep. When the snow is really bad or I'm bored, I can go drop a knee and lose a little bit of respect for myself on the tele gear that I got at the ski swap.

I did a huge quiver re-shuffle (thanks to those who bought my old stuff). I bought:

    186.5 Spats (w/P12)
    180 BD Verdicts (w/Dynafit)
190 Big Stix 106 (w/ Dynafit from UAN)
    190 '05-'06 Gotamas (w/Axial 140)
    25.5 Scarpa Spirit 3
25.0 Krypton Pro with ID Liner

Looking down the road at a pair of 184 Mantras for everyday Tele (w/HH or BD 01).

Just picked up some of last years Armada 185 ARV's to mess around with. Got a great deal on them.

Haven't put any bindings on them yet though...any suggestions? I'm thinking some 912's will do the trick.

175cm Elan M02 (but already traded for...)
    188cm Volkl G41
188cm Volkl G4 irresistable bargain skis
180cm Volkl Explosiv (dayglo model) My new favorite!
    190cm Volkl Explosiv (dayglo model)
201cm Stockli Stormrider DP - definitely too much for me, but I have to try them
185cm Kingswood Fats extra flex - just received, getting mounted now
186cm Volant Spatulas NIP from ebay, getting mounted now
195cm Salomon AK Rocket Swallowtails from SAC

    lets see...
    last season closed out with
    179 SV /914
    190 FFL w/s900
    175 volkl allstars
    atomic twins
    solly promodels

    SV's went to bloodsweatsteel
    traded the FFLs with marshal
    allstars went to DJmingus
    twins went to jibij
    boots to marshal
also acquired atuas from bakerbunny, those went to my dad.

    this season:
kingswood middy w.916(new addy) from marshal
    titan 9 188/mojo 15 from bloodsweat
181 pipecleaners w/s90014 from my shop
    krypton pro id from dalbello
184 racestock rossi from last year, courtsey of the rep (YAAAAY beer league)

I try and keep around the same number of skis and overlap down. got my fun in superpipe here in MI twins, crud demolition team w.blizzys and everything good on the kingswoods.

so far I've got two skis that blew my mind when I rode em. I do *like* the titans, but they might go in favor of a more versatile for me 180 tanker, oh how you dodge me, my black sweeties. Ever since I spent a day on FF105s I said that I would get a pair too. those skis were stooopid ahead of their time. so ya. i dream about the ninja quiver. black kwoods, black tankers,black105 all with ninja 9'ers on them OOOOOH. it seems like neither ski ever pops up though, so I'll rock the key limes proudly
