    beast

I have the older nordica beast 92 with the completly red topsheet in a 177. A bunch of people on here reccomended mounting them about an inch back, which I did and have been really happy with. My roommate is picking up a pair of the newer black and red ones, my question is did they change the boot center line on them compared to the older red ones, or should he still go an inch back to make it similar to my pair. I would just line the two pairs of skis up, but he is getting them in a 188, so I couldn't figuire out how I would tell. Thanks in advance.

1cm back = good for all mountain

on center = better jibbin ski

100cm measured from center of tip divot to mounting arrow on my red 188s, tape pulled taut (not along ski).

My testing indicates that 1.5-2cm back is the sweet spot for all-around performance. 3.5cm made the tips feel really remote, and 0cm is great for carving and slush but a bit tricky in pow.
