if you do go, please do report back.
i'm on the fence between going there or k'mart monday...i need to get back home early, so the shorter ride has me tempted...especially if they can blow enough snow for top to bottom by then...

I saw on their website today that you have to download on either the canyon quad or the summit express to get back to the base....I'm sure by monday they will have blown enough on the base to ski all the way down. Warm weekend this weekend won't help though...
Just ski down there and jump of a somethin' fer cryin' out loud!

I'd imagine Kton is a safer bet.

I learned to ski at Mt Snow in the 1960s....

that old gondola and the heated pools... what a swinger's delight - at least from the eyes of a nine year old.

I was there today. There were only a few trails open but hardly anyone was there. I went with a friend and we lapped the one trail on the north face that's open. The snow was actually pretty good.

It sounds like killington was super busy today. I personally think I made the right choice by going to mt snow. I didn't have to worry about taking people out and I was able to make it back down in time for turkey dinner. I'll be heading to killington on sunday, hopefully everyone will be on their way home.

edit : you do have to download.

...yea, i heard it was quiet at mt snow

sounds like k'mart was fun today...but i hear they're not resurfacing the open terrain overnite, so by monday, it may be a bit beaten up...also considering sunday - w/assumption hoardes will be heading home early...

(ps. howdy phil! long off season, eh?)

edit: dfinn - i see you're the one who posted at link above! that makes it feel like you were the only one there

For most of the day it did feel like me and my buddy were the only ones there. I think out of all the runs we took all day there were only 2 where people were skiing the same run as us at the same time and we had to watch out for them.

So killington isn't going to groom at all this weekend? Where'd you hear that? That should make things interesting on Sunday.

sorry - they are gonna groom - but word is any snowmaking will be dedicated to terrain expansion. though it does sound like they made quite a bit of snow...

I was there as well, it was cool to have Chute pretty much to yourself on opening day. Definitely glad I went to Snow rather than K.
