My son is 18 years old, 5'5" - 135 lbs.
He's a good, very smooth, skier who skis most anything on the mountain, including hiking beyond the ropes.
What length Sweet Daddy's would you recommend for him.

Don't call it a comeback.
He needs 200cm FFLs if he wants to gain any internet cred 'round here.
Kidding - The 172's should fit the bill nicely. And props to you for styling out your kid too.
He still does a lot of MW skiing which is why we're looking at Sweets or other 80-85mm waisted skis
i'm about the same size, i would say, depending on ability, somewhere around a 160-175. i have a 163 for tele and a 173 for at and will be getting a 168 for alpine
i do have a pair of 169 public enemy's that i want to get rid of for around $150, used mounted once typical condition for a 3 year old ski. never skied myself, i was looking for something a bit stiffer...

I have a 15 yo son who last year was @ 5ft and 115. He is an expert skier. He was on 166 head mojo 90.He was on these most of the season. He has a pair of public enemy i think they are 150 and a pair of rc4 at 144. He had no problem with the 166 and was using them all over the mountain. Only in the big bumps were they an issue for him where they were a little too long.
If he is ducking the ropes, get him a beacon and some training before you get him skis. It doesn't matter what length skis he has when buried in an avi.
