    Cool Aspen?

I am going to be in the Aspen area next week with my wife . . . she is doing an interior design job, and I get to go skiing!!! Yay!!!

Is there anything worth skiing in-bounds?

I think I am getting hooked up with a ticket, but if not, anyone know where to get a reasonably priced tickets?

Anyone in the area like to show me around? I'll buy a round. Or two, or . . . .

Thanksgiving Day - As large scale low pressure develops across the west (and continues across the northwest US), some light snow develops in the Rockies by afternoon thanks to the tail end of a fairly fast moving low pressure disturbance. We do not expect much accumulation, but a quick shot of light snow. Colder air moves in.

Friday - Isolated snow showers early turns to partly cloudy skies and colder weather as a lower pressure and slightly unsettled regime continues across the Colorado Rockies. We just lack enough moisture with these more northerly systems to crank out much snow yet.

Saturday - Temperatures remain just below average under partly cloudy (mostly sunny) skies as a low pressure system heads our way.

Sunday - Colder air moves in with light snow showers thanks to a fast moving low pressure disturbance aloft passing through.

Next Monday and Tuesday - Low pressure briefly relocates to over the Rockies (instead of the northwest coast). A more impressive looking storm is possible Monday into Tuesday with significant snowfall possible.
meh, I've got my fingers crossed

Groomers only at the moment. Gonna need another 1-2 feet for good skiing anywhere in bounds. Reasonably priced tix?.... Mt Baker

MM, when you will be out here only Ajax and Snowmass will be open. At the moment things are a little on thin side (but fast and fun). I ski somewhere every day, so I am sure I will see you on the mountain.

It's been a long time since I've been to either. Would you suggest one over the other right now?

Hard to do at the moment. Don't know what is open at Snowmass yet. There is a possible storm for Mon and Tues.

edit - only 117 acres open at Snomass, so my pick would be Ajax.

Nothing up high in the mass. No burn or high alpine and I think alpine springs might not be open either.
