    Head MoJo review

    I’m approx. 5’10”, 150lbs.
Got these babies in 186 and mounted Look P12 Jib on them.
Also skied in Lange Comp 120 (I wonder if it will make my review more clear for somebody ).

Skied them for two weeks on Elbrus mountain. This ski is so solid when you’re going on the edge! Short skidding turns, long carving arcs, on-the-edge straightlining - they can do anything! Very durable and very heavy (as any of head’s freeskiing tools). We didn’t have a bunch of fresh... actually it was groomers and crud most of the time. And they felt perfect, especially for the high-speed groom ripping! They hold edge very well, especially when you’re powering them with stiff racing boots But I think they are too stiff for landing shit. You don’t want to land on your tails, ‘cause they won’t flex and absorb the impact... they will throw you forward very hard... or (if you have a good horizontal speed) they will continue to ride “wheelie” until you crash down I think you still can land backseat in pow, but I had no chance to check it. But if you land on the whole ski, you will be ok... unless you are not in the dense wind-packed several inches deep - THEIR TIPS ARE SOOOO SHORT AND STIFF THE SAME TIME!!! All of my crashes (it was less than 10 of them for two weeks) were high speed landing over-bars!!! Anyway, hucked some shit with them, you saw pics. Also short tips make low-speed deep riding to be a real torture - deep backseat only allowed. And there was no steeps with deep fresh - Elbrus inbounds are relatively flat. And one more thing... because of their SHORT TIPS you can relatively easily over-ride them while high-speed straightlining. Did that once - just to check them. Need one more pair of skis.

Well, I’ll have two more weeks in big mountains this March and after that I’ll tell you more. But for now... I like my MoJos, but I definitely need more of ski. I think it will be Legend Pro 186 next season

    PS
About Look bindings. DA BEST!!! No prereleases, but clean heel pieces work while going over skis, stuck in snow with their tips. Always knew that - LOOK ONLY!
oh shit here comes the ground!

i take it these were center mounted? Any thoughts as to how the ski would perform if you moved the mounting point to more of an "all mountain" setting???
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

i don't know, man... already thought about it... redrill them kinda inch back - it shouldn't be worse... but i think even if i'll do it - i'll do it only after my march vacations, when i'll give them some more proper testing.

the thing is that they looks deadly center-mounted because of their highly rised twintip... but if you'll calculate proportions of running surface length, you'll see that mounting is not so centered - i didn't feel their tail to be long, very nimble ski... anyway, 2-2.5cm wouldn't be worse... only better, i guess... if you'll feel this more inch to your tip
oh shit here comes the ground!
