TR: In memory of Connor Simpson

*The pics were only loading for me after I hit preview a couple times, so you might have to refresh it once or twice to see all of them, not sure why, used biglines to host.*

The night before we heard news of a friend, the most chill guy you'd ever meet, dieing in a car accident. He was 17 years old, and was killed by a stupid ass drunk driver in a truck who ran a red light. His two friends in the car were sent to the ICU. I can't believe that he, out of all people, was killed, We're all pretty bummed and had a few drinks and shisha in his name Saturday night, and me and Thom went skiing Sunday. We ran in to MoNty from the board, and did a couple laps through the dive. I got a new camera Friday (Nikon D50) so it was time for me to test it out.

I took a lot of shots so i'll just upload a bit of each person

    A couple of MoNty:

    A couple of Thom:

Me and Thom went in for lunch while MoNty did some laps on standish. By the time we got out it was whited out and we went much longer than expected so we missed MoNty. We went up to try and get another in the dive, but it was closed since you couldn't see more than a couple feet in front of you.

Thom looking up at the sky:

Me doing a super hardcore pimp pose:

We did a few runs on a blue, it was sort of sweet not being able to see, we stopped a couple times on it every time to make sure the other guy didnt eat shit, and it was tonnes of fun just feeling your turns and by the end we were actually going pretty fast...super cool feeling. (no pics of that, well, the two above were taken on it)

We went over to wawa and skied a bit in the trees. Thom took some shots of me:

    Some shots of Thom:

Also have some sick sequence shots of Thom eating a sandwich and me drinking some water, but we'll save those for another day! This seasons dedicated to Connor, a great friend. I didn't really process the fact that he died until this morning, it's really hard to think that i'll never see him again and the only way to say goodbye will be at the funeral, Rest In Peace bro.

(Next TR will be happier, I promise.)

Nice turns and great tribute to a young friend. Sorry for your loss.
Drunk drivers killing kids sucks bad. Winter has arrived and snow has fallen for you. Life goes on and its good. Sadly, we don't get to keep all our friends for the whole ride.

Skiing turns in your friend's name is I think one of the best ways you can honor someone. End of story.

I defiantly skied with you and got lost with you for a little bit on continental during the pea soup from hell. It was pretty damn soulful.

A few friends of friends knew the guy who was killed on Saturday. Tragic.

Maybe we can make turns next weekend, I'll be at SSV skiing the dive both Sat. and Sun.

Edit: I was wearing the green puffy jacket, green BCA pack and I was rocking the ANTs. I think the only thing I said to you was "I can't see shit...."

    Thanks everyone.

Alberta_hoser, I thiinkk I remember you! How're your friends coping? I hope they're alright. I'd definately be up this weekend, as long as I don't get called in to work then i'll be up Saturday and depending on homework Sunday (definately one or both though). If you want to PM me a time go for it, or you know what I look like so just give me a shout when you see me.

Went through something very similar. I had a GREAT friend who died my senior year of high school. SUPER nice girl, and it was hard to believe it happened to her.

It sucks, but if you sorta say every once in a while on powder days "Connor, today is for you, buddy," you start to feel ok about it. I have.

Nice TR. Good tribute as well. Positive vibes.
