    36 Hours oF Keystone

So I getting ready to drive across the country, and since Colorado does indeed rock I figured why not stop there. I see this http://keystone.snow.com/info/event.36.asp#social
looks pretty sweet just in skiing at 3am what more could you want? maybe it will snow too which would be super sweet So a couple questions. Can anyone just pay for a lift ticket and not a be a team? how much is open at night? and is anyone planning on going? any info if greatly appreciated.

Regardless I cant wait to be in colorado(and eventually Utah) which is 14 days from today for me. Cant wait to meet up with you guys and gals where ever that maybe.

yes anyone can pay for a ticket. i'll be skiing at 3am and sunrise and i'm NOT "competing" (if you can call it a comp)

a fair amount is open. several decent blue groomers. a fair amount of park will be open as well (usually just rails/boxes)

look forward to meeting you on the hill

In Minnesota you can purchase a lift ticket that doesn't even start until 10pm on an average Friday night. I ski in the dark more than in the day around here. I guess lighting isn't a huge issue when you have 300 feet of vert with 75 acres of terrain.

I will def be there, not really for the skiing but more for the associated debauchery. And remember boys and girls it's a gonjola not a gondola, or so I've heard.

    I'll be around...

Don't know about the terrain openings though. It would be nice, but you always need to be careful, Keystone is notorious for opening things with rediculously thin cover.

    you are mistaken grskier...

Its not that keystone has bad coverage, they just put rocks and branches on the runs for decoration. The texans like that sort of thing.

we are driving up from denver around 3AM, going to try to be on the hill by 5AM...would be cool to have the sun come up when at the summit of Dercum...

I am STILL at work, pulling a 15 hour shift...so, no midnight skiing for me!

I'll be leaving Boulder within the hour, I hope. Gotta finish my laundry and cleaning up.

Edit: I spew a lot. I got hurt before I could go down to get my park skis.

Skied from 4am to 3pm. They opened the outback which had some better than decent snow up top and some rocks down low. Still had a fun day got a pic or 2 I will post up sooner or later.
