I would say "Search function JONG", but there's admittedly not much about this ski.

I've been loving them since I picked them up in December, and the only time I use my other sticks is if I know I'm going to be skiing over large rocks.

I'm 6'3 155 and ski a 177. My previous stick was an old beat to hell 1080, which I thought was pretty damn good, but then again I hadnt skied anything else. When I got on the Mantis's, I nearly crapped my pants. They rock.

I got them with solly rental bindings, so they had an absurd amount of lift. That being said, they got on edge, very, very quickly. Basically they were like a 87mm waist GS ski. The first time I could ever carve and touch the ground behind me was on these sticks. I was really surprised how well they did on groomers. In the trees they were great, floated real well and could manuever them quite easily. I kept getting knocked forward real easily though, and last week I switched to Look Z Races with no lift, and it made the ski entirely different. Now, they are slower edge to edge, but I can ski them more in a centered position, not always driving forward. They seem a lot faster now, and I can handle them more easily in the trees because I can keep my tips up. Also, machin through chop around Castlerock they are a blast. In fact sunday was probably one of the most fun I've had on skis, and I owe it all the elans.

The bases are also real resilient, I've hit things and definately thought I was going to need ptex but I was good. The top coats chip easier than the ones on my 1080s, but nothing a little epoxy hasnt fixed. I could keep rambling on about them, but I love them and if I could get another pair I'd mount freerides on them and use them for bc around the east. I feel they are the perfect combo of width but still doing well on ice. Oh, they do fine in bumps too, just takes a bit getting used to the fact that you really have to stay forward(mine are mounted a 1cm back).

What specifically did you want to know about them, I'll try my best to give you a description.

Thanks cantdog. What I'm looking for is a good powder ski that will also be stable and bust through heavy crud and survive. I'm replacing pocket rockets in my quiver after having broken 2 pairs. God they were fun while they lasted, but I would like to be able to get through a season or 2 without replacement down time.
The PR's were 185's and I liked having the length, but I'm thinking with the meatier ski, at 160# I might go shorter.
Anybody else got a civil opinion?

If you are looking for a meatier but similar skis to the PR's then Head Matrix Mojo get's my vote. Wouldn't go shorter than a 176 if you are used to 185 PR's.
