I bought this unit last week. There was not all that much information available on the web in the way of reviews, but the unit looked good. Thats where the goodness ends.

Aside from the enormous color screen, this unit left alot to be desired.

Satellites: With WAAS enabled or disabled, the error range was never less than 50 feet.

Maps: Definately Outdated, i purchased the Mapcreate software and the topo map was not as detailed as the garmin and the street navigation was missing streets that have been around for more than 5 years.

Routing: No automatic routing, and the instructions are so convoluted that I couldn't really figure it out

Navigating the GPS menus: This is the most frustrating thing about this, it always seamed that it took a bunch of extra button pushes to get anything done. Simply put, this thing is difficult to use.

Battery Life: Sucked, but it did come with a car adapter, which was good, although this unit will get you killed trying to use it in a car.

I exchanged it for a Garmin 60Cx, which was $100 more but i haven't even looked at the manual yet and have had no issues using this unit.

IMO if you are in the market for a GPS, stay away from Lowrance.
