This thread is finally getting somewhere.
Just saw it last night. The truth of the matter for me is that it was ok. I think many of us get used to seeing the same crazy shit all the time so its hard for the movie makers to keep me interested. I remember the first strait-line shots of nobis in Alaska and its like holly shit that cant be real but after a few years of seeing the same shots over and over it looses its wow factor.
The ian mcintosh(sp?) seg was very good and the brief nobis and morrison seg left me wanting to see more(that was one hell of a front flip). Whatever you think of nobis he nows how to point his skiis. The Jermy jones seg was very cool too(big crashes at first really make you apreciate how much these guys put it on the line.
Overall I give it a b-.
One school for thought- It really does not look like anyone New can throw down like morrison(and nobis in some respect). Every movie morrison is in he really blows away the rest of the skiers. Hes getting old and im sure his body will soon not want to do 100 foot fronts anymore. Whos next in line. Nobody that I saw in the new tgr looks like they will have a chance to take his thrown.
Did not see the new msp movie so maybe I missed someone.

I can state, as a skier, that Mr. Jones amazes me year after year. So does Victoria Jealous, and that other snowboarder dude who wasn't in this year's film who's name I can't remember.
I love that TGR puts snowboarding in their movies, and even would like to see a bit more in the films. Actually, I think the park and jib snowboarding segments look repetitive and stagnant, but the big mountain stuff is almost as entertaining as the big mountain skiing segments. Also, I really like the fact that I can go to a showing with both my skier and my snowboarder friends without having to watch WM-style second rate skiing and boarding.
I also thought that Anomaly was one of TGR's best movies. I really, really enjoyed it.
I saw the movie last thursday and liked it but didn't love it. I thought the actual footage was up to par with a lot of the stuff in past years, but what I thought was lacking was the flow of the movie. Not sure why, but I felt that in past years the segments flowed together more and weren't so cut up. Maybe it was the location feature inbetween the segments and I also wasn't a big fan of the music... overall still a pretty decent flick that could've used some more Morrison and some more powder...
Some of us have been around for a long (really long) time and may have low post counts for one reason or another.
Patrick, did you hit the rents booze cabinet before you made this post? Seriously, you seem like you try at times, then fall off the wagon and post this shit. Oh, and spell check would be a feature you should look into to keep the spelling police at bay
