Saw a pair today for the first time. Toepieces kinda reminded me of Rossi/Look race binding. Narrow, low profile, big DIN window and adjustment screw. Heels looked suspiciously Markerish...

i'm kinda confused tho b/e the look a lot like the atomic 4tix binder which look like a look type toe and a marker type heel
the toe definitely doesn't have marker's afd.

I hate to contradict a fellow yooper, but I really don't think they are made by Marker. My guess is Vist.

its marker, you only have to get marker certified to mount them if you work in a shop

What Irip said. What I remember from SIA a few years back is that Marker only makes the heel. The toe is their creation. I was told it is pretty much an OEM frankenbinding.

I have a pair of the SLR's from last year. Marker heel all the way. Toe has to either be Rossi or a very close copy. Moving AFD and split wings. The binding box had marker stickers and literature in it. The only thing I've found lacking in them so far is the center screw. It screws into a pridrilled hole in the ski. I wish the ski had an insert etc...like the tyrolia railflex bindings. If you want to play with them you have to unscrew it from the core of the ski.

completely supplied by marker. really.
I don't like the design. For an intermediate skier, they are really lightweight. the blizzard integrated binding is one of the cleanest systems I have seen, rail sunken into the ski, designed into it. not bolted on top. whole binding mounts with one phillips screw. shop rat dream mount.
on the downside, they are ALL plastic. I don't see how they could hold up to a beating. they are not even avail. in a high din model. they f'ed up the titan 7 by dumbing it down with this binding. hopefully they leave the titan 8 9 pro alone.

Huh..... I guess I was wrong. I did take a closer look at them, and you guys are right. The heel piece is identical. The toe looks a little funky... We'll see how they turn out, I guess.
