    RIP Mom

Nobody should have to suffer the existence she endured the last three and a half years

    Nobody deserved that existence less

The suffering is over..... let there now be peace

    You are greatly missed.

My mom too suffered for a long time before she left us. It was hard to lose her....but harder to watch her suffer. Many vibes to you and yours. +++++++

    RIP

Watching a loved one suffer like that is more brutal than letting them go. I'm sorry for your loss.

I wish I had the strength and insight to help her leave some time back. I'm glad for her it's over but the end is still final and brings it all home. Thanks for the wishes from all, I may drink some now and remember in the blur.

Godspeed, to you and yours, and her. It is all part of the human experience, but I know that doesn't make it any easier.

    Keep on keepin' on.

This reminds of when when I was young and my mother used to sing a song to my sister and I which had the refrain:

    ~I'll miss you when you're gone!~

Even as a small person I knew she was referringto our aging process, but now, as I get older, I remember that refrain and think of the sweatness in her heart and how now, I view it the other way.

I will miss my mother dearly when she's gone and it has brought a tear to my eye reflecting on the aging process.

Be comforted knowing her contentment lies in your peace.

after reading yours and then mushmouths post, i have reflected on life, how quickly things pass before us, things we take for granted and those who we hold dear in our lives. For many of us, those that we hold dearest are our parents, especially mothers for all they do when we grow up and throughout life.

My condolences to you and your family. I am sorry that you are having to go through this extreme pain L7, know that you are not alone and have a community here to support you.

I wish we didn't have this tragedy in common but we do. I lost my mother in '97 to lung cancer. I was 20, it was bull shit and I miss her more every day. Stay strong bro, but don't be scared to be weak for a bit. Long road of healing ahead but continue to cherish the time you had with her. PM me if needed.

Jesus man, sorry for your loss! Losing a parent is not an easy thing to go through, my sentiments mirror NorCalPWDR's. I lost my dad in '99 to lung cancer when I was 18. Time will help. I got the hell away from everything for 2 weeks right after his funeral. That helped me a ton. I discovered skiing on that trip with 2 of my best friends. It really helps to just turn your brain off for a bit afterwards. Best wishes, and if you need ANYTHING, let me know.
