    916 labs

I'm thinking of getting some 916labs of ebay. My only concert is that silly metal bar that connects the toe and heal piece. Is that thing fixed to the binding or can you mount them with out it?

.... hmm i'm a little sketched out about that bar mc_roon just cause none of my other 916's have it. I need to think about it. If the auction ends and no one has bought them. I'll pm you.

I liked the "These bindings are not for beginners - they are for racers or freeskiers who trust their bindings with their lives every day. There are full metal bomber bindings - no pre-release here." part of the discription. Gawd, I only trust my bidings with my life two to three times a week... I think they might be a little two bomber for me!

I have a question myself about the zz labs. the pair I have (currently unmounted) have the thin yellow pieces that go under the metal connecting bar (like I'm sure all/most do). Thing is, they previous owner had really small feet and has cut or snapped the piece in such a way that for it to connect with the toe piece and reach all the way back to the heel piece I'd have to have a boot with like a 280mm sole length, and Im in a 304.

Do I need the small yellow piece? I will already be mounting flat to the ski, so no riser problem. I suppose I could always just mount them with that little yellow piece (kinda like a track I suppose) not reaching the heel piece or I could probably order new pieces from salomon. From those who have used the before, what would you do?

I was watching those as well, but I decided that I want some Look/Rossi's instead, hope you sell them though.
