    Leeeeeeeeroooooy Jennnnnnnnkins!!!!!

    Did I get that right?

I boiled my thermometer, and sure enough, this spot, which purported to be two thousand feet higher than the locality of the hotel, turned out to be nine thousand feet LOWER. Thus the fact was clearly demonstrated that, ABOVE A CERTAIN POINT, THE HIGHER A POINT SEEMS TO BE, THE LOWER IT ACTUALLY IS. Our ascent itself was a great achievement, but this contribution to science was an inconceivably greater matter.

    Great issue.

I didn't like the cover. It should have shown skiing.

    Of these,

    I'd say Scott Schmidt.

I'd have to go with......Sarah Burke, Glen Plake, Tanner Hall, Seth Morrison, Wayne Wong, Scot Schmidt, J.P. Auclair, Mike Douglas, and Wendy Fisher.

scott schmidt should have been more front and center, he shouldn't be behind anyone

Of those pictured, Schmidt or Plake. Considering the 35-year span, both changed skiing and both are still relevant today.

Honestly, I'd say it's a good cover. There's a lot of worthy folks who've passed on.

If it were bigger I'd include Nobis and Gordy, Patrick Russell and Jean-Noel Augert, Bob Burns, John Clendenin, Bill Kidd, Jimmy Heuga, The Maier bros, Candide Thovex, McConkey, Anselm Baud, Sylvan Saudan, The Herminator, The Quebecois Air Force among others...

McConkey should have been there for sure, and Schmidt should have been more prominent. Hattrup maybe?

I like the idea of the picture
Sarah Burke just doesn't do it for me as a skier.
The Warren Miller suggestion is one I wouldn't have though of, but agreed.

I also would have liked a larger piece on Doug. Somehow incorporate him in there, not because of the recent tragedy but because he truly deserves a cover shot in that situation. How this could have been, I'm not sure. Them standing around a picture could have been too somber.

WTF!?! No McConkey? He pretty much ushered in the fat ski era and has basicaly been blowing minds for a good 10 years. Otherwise it looks like a good line up.

Franz Klammer, Hermann Maier, Edgard Grospiron, Anselme Baud, Pierre Tardivel, Marc Girardelli - there's a world outside North America.

mcconkey was in the issue, just not on the cover.

I bet he was too busy hucking bridges to bother with a photo shoot.
