Thread: Base file guide suggestions?

    Probably other files. But my DMT stone is too thick, other brands may be thinner(?).

    If you really want to save some $$$, just wrap one end of the file with tape of some kind (electric works well). Place the taped part of the file on the edge opposite to the one you are filing and voila, you've got a base bevel. Of course, you'll have to eyeball how many wraps you need to get a 1 degree bevel, but its definitely the cheapest alternative.
