fucking airlines hatefucked me in the eye. tix skyrocketed in literally 20 min. No mini for me. I'll be out in march when there is snow.

If you have ties to the ski industry, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday you'll be able to try out next year's gear at Snowbasin. Hmmm, Snowbasin or Alta Friday???

Or, in the absence of any new snow, maybe I'll just stay at my desk.

You sir are correct. That is the tradition and even with some going to Basin, I am sure there will be the usual suspects at GMD.

What time in GMD, 4? Arriving Fri. morning and heading up to Alta to figure out if I remember how to do this sliding on snow thing. Based on my current ski-shape, I should be good for at least 2 runs.

I somehow suspect I'll be able to find the Maggot crew, but if not I'll just be shouting for a nickel.

Me too- arriving Friday in SLC at 1, heading to the Peruvian and then prob right over to the GMD. I have no ide what anyone looks like though

Normally, there is a crew sitting by the windows looking out at Collins. In the corner closest to the ticket office than the parking lot.

It's definetly on at my place for Saturday Night 7pm till ? I'll provide some beer, some booze, snacks,and ski porn. Feel free to bring anything else you want. What doesn't get used will be carted over to the Superbowl party.

There was talk of us hosting a gear swap during the Friday night party...is there still interest? We were thinking of limiting to 8-10 so things can be wrapped up before things really kick into high gear. I figured we'd set aside some space where you could just leave what you're selling with your name and a price on it. If you find something you like, find the maggot that owns it and pay them...no middle man to take a cut (but proceeds in beer are appreciated).

So what says everybody...yay or nay on the gear swap?

Gear swap is always fun. Maybe mags. could post what they are interested in getting rid of, so others can see what might be offered. For instance, I have a pair of 168 AX4s with P12s (my wife's) that are hardly used that I would like to swap for a pair of medium freerides, freeride pluses or Naxo21. Really, there is no need to bring them, if no one is interested.

having done my time in the EC, jackson, and tahoe, the utah crew is one of the big groups of folks i still don't know, but I may just show up looking for fun...
I'll be at alta on friday, so i'll wander over to the GMD and look for the big crowd of drunk fools.
and i'd bring some snow wtih me from tahoe, but, um, well...

Safe trip out everyone.

On friday, it looks like I have to pick the kiddies up from scool at 12:30. I'm not sure whether I will make morning turns at The Canyons of Alta, and then afternoon turns at Alta or The Canyons. Either way, I will be on my wizards and asking for change.
