TR: 11.06.06, Some pow for Bow summit.

As all you PNW' ers know, the west coast and BC interior has been getting hammered with rain. This side of the continental divide, we were hoping it would translate into some snow, but given the forcasted high of 8 celcius in lake louise, we werent counting on much.

We arrived at Bow summit around 9:30, and were greeted by a nice local dump of 15-20cms

We decided to head over the ridge to find some wind blown goodness.

    Winters awakening up here.

After some heinous 2ft deep trail breaking, we scored some smooth pow.

Awesome day to be out there. Alberta mags---go get some!! (after this little heat wave. )

Snow up your way only means that it's coming our way (hopefully).

I've forgotten what fresh snow is like. Please tell that storm to get down this way ASAP.

I resolve PC issues remotely. Need to get rid of all that pr0n you downloaded on your work laptop? Or did you just get a ton of viruses from searching for "geriatic midget sex"? Either way I can fix them. PM Me for maggot prices.

Lets hope this system brings some white up high. Pretty scary forecast for the next few days. Could go either way

    Awesome stuff!

Yep, it's too bad about the forecast. If only it stays a bit colder this will all be snow.

Also, if the freezing level rises any more, the avy hazard is supposed to climb to high later today.

    Dammit,
I was thinking about going there yesterday but opted for being "citified" and going to the mall instead.

    Nice pics.

Well Im sure its changed now, but Id say Bow summit was only about 100m up from the freezing level. We drove towards Fort. Sask. crossing and as soon as we drove down the hill from bow summit, we were in the rain.
