    Lodging in Fernie

    Hello.

We are group of 3-4 Finnish skiers/snowboarders who haven´t been to Fernie before. Actually two of us have never been to B.C nor to Canada, but all that´s going to change on the 29th of December. We are planning a 4-week trip that starts in Fernie.

So the question is, where to find good/afforable lodging for 7-10days in Fernie?
Any ideas? Is there any website for private renters in the area?

    All help welcomed

    Best Regards

also try your basic searches for lodging/motels on google, etc..

hostels will be cheapest.. The Fernie Pub was great.. we stayed there a few years ago and it was cheap and nice...especially if you want to party downstairs. Last I heard, they switched over to seasonal rentals only... but not sure if that's still the case.

I'm just a simple girl trying to make my way in the universe...

If you know your history, then you would know where you coming from, then you wouldn't have to ask me, who the heck do I think I am.

The Raging Elk hostel was a blast back in the day. I have not been there in years but I hear it is still fun. And cheap.

There is quite a bit of rentals on the mtn, but you are going at a difficult time of year to get get those, it would be cheaper and easier to stay in the valley I imagine.

The websites others have posted should be fine!

I'll be in the area around that time as well, depending on the snow...

Check out the Central Hotel. It has rooms upstairs above the bar. Nice place. I know they hosted tour groups from Langley's last year and skiers coming from Sweden and Northern Europe.

Welcome to Fernie you Flyin Finns. Lots of good suggestions here. I prefer to recommend the Central over the Raging Elk and the Fernie, but that's because I know the owner and I'm not super enamored with the other 2 fellas.
Now as for the ski hill, you can be sure we're pretty serious about poachers here
Don't let this guy catch you crossing the line, and don't tell us you can't read the signs, 'cause we don't give a rat's ass that you don't speak the english
