Thumbs up Paging Red Baron - please, just this once?

I was looking at a thread from last year and the anticipation and stoke you brought for snow storms to the Wasatch was unmatched. Even Xover couldn't jinx your threads.

I miss seeing you on the TV. I don't even watch Fox 13 anymore. I know this winter will be sweet and all but I'll miss getting the extra 411 from RB on the boards, knowing for certain that the storm is gonna deliver. And to make matters worse, Snowbank retires (ok, semi-retires) which means his white jacket just won't wear the same on Snowbank Jr.

I know you're a busy man in the big Chi-town with the pimp daddy contract and all. But do you think just once, or perhaps twice this season you could give us a little extra weather prediction love like you used to? This would sure make the season more complete.

Which brings me to my original thought. All these teaser storms keep rolling through Utah and nothing is really packing that "kick your mom in the head" punch that Utah needs to get this season rolling. "They" (sadly you're not one of the they any more) are saying mountain snow valley rain this Sunday but I just don't know if I can trust "them". This is what I'm talking about. This is the lonely road we Utards must travel on.

You're sorely missed my man. That is all.

I'll even help you get started. Bum Z's annual Thanksgiving trip to PA commences on Friday, November 17th. Therefore, massive snowfall should start piling up on Saturday the 18th, and continue until Sunday the 26th, when I return.

JoshP said he's going climbing and we're setting to wash the trucks this weekend... in other words, get ready for dumpage! A little RB prediction would be nice though...

Ha! It's nice to be missed - life is good here, and I'm certainly happy about missing mud season in Utah - but I do also miss the anticipation of the season, and the build-up to the first few big storms. I have also come to realize that not only do I not have a season pass this year - I don't even own a pair of skis!

But yes, I'll kick in a forecast once in a while, but only when things look really good...

That said, based on Climatology - the fact that Bum Z is heading to PA is generally a good indicator of large snow totals in the Cottonwoods...the equation looks like this.

    Z + DU (distance from Utah) = FS (forecast snow) x 2

Jesus christ! Talk about going cold turkey. If you feel like falling off the wagon, Chestnut is only a couple hours and a half without traffic from the windy. I'm up there every Wed morning for my midwest shock therapy (and some weekends but I hate skiing near others).

They even have passes still available for desperate ski junkies stuck in the midwest...

    RB,

I've got some Cloudveil swag for you, for your efforts helping me out.
Maybe you'll have to schedule a trip to Utah to pick it up.

Hell yeah! Please do post now and then. I always used to lurk and be excited when you'd post something about a big storm... even though that usually meant by the time it got to CO it was mostly dried out, but it was a good alarm for a potential storm aheadin' in.
