    Unhappy Gore-tex patches??

So I put a pretty healthy rip in my bibs this weekend to complement the nice bruise that went with it. My friend told me there are iron on gore-tex patches, any body use them? Do they stay on?

Well, I've never ironed it, but the duct tape on my pants seems to do the trick.
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

Yes, the duck is a lovely thing, but was looking for a less flashy alternative.

    Glue it on with this

It's like duct tape but better.

They do make gore-tex fabric iron on or stick on patches. Check your local camping supply place or www.ems.com and search for gore-tex repair kit.

I had to patch a hole in my pants like this last week. Worked very nicely.

I have a couple on my Arc'teryx pants (ski gashes) and one on my jacket (attacked by tree). They've stayed put through multiple washings and probably 100+ days of wear and are still in good shape. Totally waterproof and if you find the right color, they blend fairly well.

I bought them at Kirkhams - they have probably half a dozen colors and come in circles and rectangles and stick on. Then you iron them to really make them stay put.

I've used about 3 or 4 on my bibs and 1 or 2 on my jacket and they have held up fine. The nylon colored part fell off of one, but the gore-tex is still there and waterproof as ever. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the help, found them at a local store, way easier than trying to do a piss-poor job of sewing them back up myself.

Really looking for clear duct-tape now.

You should try sanding them a bit, that's what I did with my abestos gloves, plus it makes nice clouds.
