Our world is full of surrender at the first sign of adversity, do not give up when the challenge meets you, meet the challenge. Through perseverance comes the rewards, the rewards that make life so enjoyable.

Seize the day, trusting little in the future.

if you want something, go after it. if you want to screw someone over, look DEEP in your heart and realize Karma is a bitch

    1. I couldn't see anything in the vid. Shane's huge balls were in the way.
    2. Just exactly why do BASE jumpers wear a helmet? It would make a difference at those velocities?

If they open the chute a little late and are going a little quick on the landing, the helmet would probably help (since they would probably fall). Like wearing a bike helmet- if you get hit by a train, the helmet wont matter, but if you fall off your bike at a good rate of speed, the helmet is coming in handy.

It was called the eighties, Ford was president, Nixon was in the white house, and FDR was running the country into the ground.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

which movie was it where the base jumper almost went into the cliff wall? i think it was one of the tgr movies, maybe soul purpose? anyway, base jumping usually means you're pretty close to a rock wall. the helmet might help in this circumstance too

You can't be serious - if your head hits a cliff while base jumping - you're fukt. I could see it helping if your parachute line opens when you're on your side or something, better to have the lines rub against a helmet than your scalp

so it was after his chute had opened, but he caught his arm on a line and swooped around. so he wasn't falling into the cliff, he was hitting it sideways. he managed to kick away, but if he were a few feet closer, a helmet could have helped.

i'll show you the clip later

The real question is "why NOT wear a helmet?"

Eric Roner in Soul Purpose I believe. His arm got caught on one of the lines and it caused him to turn back toward the cliff and he barely managed to turn away and get out.

Soul Purpose is correct. Watched that movie today. Roner came very, very close to the wall

I'm an ignoramus, but she looked to me like she almost went too far forward and caught her feet in her lines when she threw.
