I'm a big fan of the SAC/BC gang.I've only bought expensive items from BC,& the shipping has been great.I just hate it when I buy stuff online that I can't try on 1st & it doesn't fit,it costs me money to send it back.

This is obviously my problem & has nothing to do with them!

rideit: that must be an idaho thing. The few items I've gotten have been cheap as hell to ship via USPS. Set up a mailbox in jackson or something?

Very reasonable rates shipping to WV. I am not complaining.

Going back to check SAC now...

    Maggots - we are listening

I am here to post in this thread. A few words from "the man" when I tossed him this link -

Totally kick ass....We have not considered the Amazon prime concept and I think it is damn good.

I'm not trumping those powerful doods but this thread may have started to chip away at the issue. phUnk is omnipresent. He needs no alias.

I see many, many thousands in lost sales based on the 10% who comment on this as compared to the 90% who feel the same, and don't post....and that is truly talking turkey. Just ask your accountant!
Rideit for President! Seriously great post. A lot of value has come of this thread. The wheels are turning in SAC land.

Idaho is wierd. We don't like them guys to the North Seriously, I'm not sure what's up with the Idaho thing.

The stuff you are balking at paying shipping for is still selling out, so why would they bother discounting?
Why would we bother? We hadn't considered it (the Amazon Prime idea) for SAC until this thread. We think this is a kick ass idea. I'm not going to sugar coat it, there is a bit,(small bit) of revenue in the shipping. Boxes, shipping equipment, etc aren't free when you're shipping thousands of boxes each day. BUT, the bottom line is that we sell gear and make money on said gear. With SAC we try to bring it the cheapest we can and still pay the minions and the man.

This message board is full of the "core" of our audience and although we do value the faithful on the SAC forum this group here is held in high regard.

SO, keep the ideas coming, keep brainstorming them. We're humble enough to admit that we haven't got the market cornered when it comes to all the brilliant ideas.

I would imagine collecting sac orders in 1,000 little shopping carts, and labeling them with user-names...

Yea, it doesn't really make that much sense to me either, but I just know I used to check it more when I knew what time things were reloading.

And Australians. Each shipment costs me ~$40-$50, regardless of the size, weight or cost of the item.
