From what I gather from my two friends have switched from Gotamas is that these skis kick ass. I haven't skied them yet but it seems that all that they are skiing on these days are those skis and we're up on Hood 3 times a week.

They like them for pretty much everything but hard-hard snow. They love them on the groomers too.

I just bent my B3's and I'm thinking about gettin a pair of Seth Pistols because they are essentially the same ski as the Kahuna except its about 10mm more narrow.

    Great NW skis

bumbed on to dude that rode Kahunas:
    in short what he said.
-on the heavier side of light.
    -stiffer than gotamas.
    -way stiffer that SP.
    -he loved them.
-he wanted the -05 ski, AK Maiden, wich should be identical to Kahuna, as it has cool graphicks...
I have never been good with facts.

    Insights? Outasights!

Just walked in and picked it up, looked at the bottom, and it said, "Iron Made In China".

Wlater, weren't you skiing some big K's when I made it out to the first Tahoe Summit in 2000? I remember our first run at Alpine so clearly. I was skiing a pair of needles and you skiing with "surf-boards" on each leg. You straightlined it and floated high and I was lost in the Sierra Cement. How about some insights into what is hot and what is not re: fatskis ???

btw. got a new set-up for les Alpes. Dynastar intuiti's 74 (white w/ fake wood trim inserts) and Look bindings in yellow ochre. REally like the ride on and off piste. They stay glued to the turf. Turns like a GS ski on and off piste. The only drawback is the setup is heavy and I can't easily hop them around like my K2 M6 slalomskis. I be storm-riding, though!

    Yeah,
The AK Maidens look pretty sick. The name is in the same font as the iron maiden poster and there is a skull on them. Saw Mr. Morrison pushing a pair around vail the other day... but vail sucks... dont go there.
    Peace

dead on. too many skiers tracking it out before 11. expensive ticket. shitty base areas. walking 1/2 mile thru the shopping district to get to the lifts.
Back bowls; China and Siberia, too flat. Good terrain learn to ski pow on though. About the only area that you can go back to on the 2nd day and find some untracked.

oh, by the way... what does this have to do w/ Tech Talk anyway?
