Wisdoms are like Scuba goggles....not to mention ugly, basically standard issue gaper gear.

I have some A-frames, which are classic, but have been known to ride up cheekbones, creating the "perma-cry" effect (it looks like you are crying).

Crowbars are sweet, they have the built in helmet outrigger things so you dont need to shell out the extra money for the helmet kit. I'm sure they look funny with just a touque, but they are pretty rad with helmets.

I also have some older Smith Triads, they are pretty good

Smith Prodigies are good as well, even have the turbo fan option if you are afraid of fogging.

I run an Oakley high intensity blue (high yellow) for the cloudy days, and Smith Triads with a platinum mirror for sunny days. Either get too lenses (a mirror and a yellow), or get a mid range one like persimmon. Unless you are planning on going blind, don't use the high blue/yellow in the sun.

HI persimmon has that blue stuff on the lens that is supposed to make the lens more versatile by blocking out some of the glare?

I dont think that it makes too much difference, you could probably save your money and get regular persimmon.

Just bumpin the thread looks like we had a good thing going--Now that I realized what a ridiculous discount I get on stuff, I'll probably be going with crowbars, and some kind of 2-3 lens system. Hi yellow's a definite for low light, and I'll probably get an iridium/mirrored lens for hi altitude ultra-sun. Anyone think I should get a g30/persimmon/vr28 ish lens for something in between? like "partly cloudy," or "partly sunny,"?

for "those days" i use a g30. definitely recommend it. i like the persimmon, but the g30 just seems to work out better for me.
