    searching for job out west

ok, i know ill probably get shit for this one, but whatever. its a shot in the dark, but who knows.....

i have pretty much decided that if i can find a job out west ill be moving out there. i have been searching on the usual hotjobs etc. and signed up for andrew hudsons mailing list, but if anyone on tgr has any other leads, like openings at their company or something, id really appreciate it.

basically looking for a marketing manager position. ideally, i would love to work for a resort or something dealing w/ the ski industry. im currently a cube monkey at a big 4 acct. firm, doing marketing and research. been here for 4+ years, and now it pretty much sucks and i want out.

looking either in cali or around denver/vail/ft. collins region. if anyone can help, i can email you my resume and more about myself.

    many thanks in advance.

I have zero leads but you're gonna kick yourself for not leaving one of the big four sooner than you did regardless of how long you stayed

There's a great job list that's a Yahoo Group. Its called KITList. There's a techy one and a sales/marketing one. Sign up for the sales/marketing one. Tons of jobs. Mostly in the Bay Area, but there may be some Tahoe/Reno ones once in a while.

As for working for the ski areas: I'd check the web sites of all of them and see what you come up with. They don't pay well, you can be sure of that. Or get your firm to move you out here??

Marketing/sales at ski resorts, even at the management level, runs about $12.00 Hr, on average. Unless you were a rock star (skier/boarder/douchebag)with name recognition...then you can make $18.00 Hr, and still be a useless tool.
