I'd like to do that. Problem is what I thought was a bruised rib is feeling more like a pulled muscle or something in the rib cage, so until that heals all activities are out, dammit.

Kidwoo got the whole thing on viddy, although he pulled a rookie move and stopped filming when he saw me go down. Maybe he'll post it up when he gets back.

Thanks everyone for the well-wishes. I got a bunch of pics from the weekend I'm still going over and I'll throw up in my compilation thread when I get some time.

ugh - so sorry to hear this, C!!

That gap is insane. K and C - you two rock. Going HUGE. Can't wait to hit Mammoth with you again next year (as long as Kevin doesn't try to kill me again ).

Take it easy and heal up fast!

Waitaminute! What's with all this whining? I'm pretty sure I broke a toe on Grafton, but I managed to ride the next three days. For shame.

Being gimped up sucks, but you'll be back quicker than a rabbit multiplying. ( )

Nice hit though, got me a-gibbering with fear just looking at it. WTG!

You get out of packing heavy things next month!! That was a great idea man.......getting the boo boo, getting me to film it for proof so the fam doesn't make you move the couch. I didn't believe you when you said you had the idea but damn........brilliant!!! Way to follow through.

Perfect timing actually. You'll be bummed for a few weeks and then just that much fired up when everything goes white (I just unloaded my truck wearing shorts and t-shirt btw.....no hurry)

And I'm totally down with the ski pole conforming cast idea.

Speaking of video, you guys get anything good on Sunday?

And lets see the clip of you sending the gapper and me exploding. C'mon, the truck is unloaded, get on with it.

It was really windy yesterday. Pretty much a solid crosswind on almost everything. I wanted to check out the whole courses for both days and just look at lines. Some of the stuff carved out there is absolutely nuts. Big drops are nothing compared to some of the techy lines up high that look like they were ridden during the constests. We did some filming but nothing spectacular. The wind really was kind of sketchy.

The camera and the software are new to me........give me a day or two. I'm a vid newb.

Yup. I didn't ride with them. CS did though. They took off the afternoon I got there.

Those guys were cool as hell. One of them drove CS back to slc since he couldn't drive his car.

Funny, I met them at a gas station!

I saw the Canfield, and went to chat them up...(Lance C. is a 'Teton Freedom Rider') and we ended up having some mutual riding friends. They seemed pretty chill. The older one was taking the younger ones to De-Virginize' them. I hope they had a good time!

CS, bummer but you are the MAN!! Any shots of the run-out after the landing? I'm just trying to put the whole gap in perspective in my head. Heal up and keep at it!

I've got a vid put together in final cut pro. If anyone knows that program (or the regular version) and can help me get some audio on and get it rendered and ready to put up, I'd be very grateful.

yeah rideit, those guys were super cool. As kidwoo said, one was gracious enough to drive me back home since I couldnt drive the stick. A few of the pics in my other thread are of some of there crew.

In other news, I just got back from the hand specialist, and assuming my insurance covers it, I go under the knife on Monday to put screws in the hand.

bummer, CS. It should heal up good as new though.

did you end up breaking a rib as well or did you not even bother getting an xray?

this, from one of the smartest, most mechanically inclined guys on this board.

I don't have it, but those two parts should be really easy. try going to the help menu and search add music and render. should be a piece of cake, especially since you have done the hardest part of editing the video.

I got an xray and it's not broken, but there is something wrong because certain movements make it hurt like hell. I'm just trying to take it easy. It sucks.

That's good news! I feel your pain though. My left middle finger and ring finger both got hurt on our trip down there. It's been almost 3 weeks and they're still a little swollen and tender. Range of motion is pretty good and the pain isn't too bad. I'm guessing I just sprained them badly.

Man reading that manual is painful. I spend most of the time trying to figure out the proprietary lingo and where to find the application on the screen. This is the most complex version they make.......unfortunately it's way over my head at this point. I'll get it tonight.

I've had broken AND bruised ribs. One bruise was enough of an impact to bruise a lung. They both feel pretty much identical. Breathing, moving, any sort of abdominal muscle engagement kills......I know. But if it's not broken, that's probably what you've done. What sucks is that almost every active motion hurts. Get used to it (and advil). They take a long time to heal completely.....even though it is just a bruise.

Dammit. Well good mang. This will help it work better in the long run. It's still not snowing here yet.
