I recorded a personal worst this season in January... 1hr/45min. Burped up a D.O.G burrito and SRB beers, (from the night before), the whole way. Got lapped too! That's embarrassing. Great way to get over a hang over.

Huh. Thats funny, I grew up, went to camp and college with Luke. Haven't seen him in years. Apparently still killing it.

haha no dude you weren't slow...
i would say that the majority of people on glory on any given day are doing the hike in 45 minutes to an hour.
and the people that are sub-35 minutes are *usually* hiking up with some sort of AT setup- and they're *usually* a lot slower on the way down so you have to take that into account too!![]()
Track, the problem is that it is a bootpack (no skin track option at all), and very variable due to winddrift, slow hikers, wind, etc...and it is straight the fuck up, (if you haven't hiked it).
But yea, in this era of super-human-ness, ~20 is certainly possible. But I have never once heard anyone even begin to spray that they have done it in anything close to that...and JH is full of sprayers.

What does this thread have to do with skiing?
Skiing?
Don't most folks just take a chopper down?

from my experience dawn patrol is not the fastest time, but you cant beat the conditions or pink light.PB is 40.min. midday when i'm awake.
Agreed. That being said I'm going to have to get an ultralight AT setup to keep up with you guys next year.
Been up there many times before dawn, maybe 2nd or 3rd person on the boot pack. Wind drifts that are nipple deep or worse, hard to make good time in those conditions. The rewards of first tracks down the gut make the 45 minute plus hike completly worth it. My PR is about 40 mins to the hut, 2nd lap is usualy a little faster, but traffic dictates pace for sure. Have been in conditions that are basicly white room and the hike is well over an hour. Small price to pay for Teton fluff; nothing makes the job a little more bareable than sunrise tracks.
If it ain't foggy, turn off those HID auxillary lights.
My personal worst Glory hike was the time I got passed by a local MILF that was 6-7 months preggers.
Granted, daddy had her skis, and I had sea-level flu lungs, but it was humbling. 1:15 or so
Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason
I ran into Dan the other night at the liquor store and asked his opinion on the fastest time - the quickest he had heard of was 25 minutes.
Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.
10 laps in 11 hours is pretty intense
