    Berthoud Pass

Everyone headed up be careful and smart today. Dug a pit at 7am this morning. West side of pass. 2 feet, drifts deeper!!! on top of a consolidated layer that baked in the sun on Tuesday and most of Wednesday. This is no shit. It will slide today!!!

Yeah, just as I thought after looking at those layers last week. Don't forget there is a deep melt/freeze layer from earlier this year that has probably become nasty due to the shallow snow pack and temp gradients.....lets hope everyone comes out unscathed this weekend, don't f%4ckin die!
