Now that I just got a pair I'm planning on switching the L ski as R and vice versa. The previous user was on tele's as am I, and there is some extensive wear on the tip... Don't wanna go all the way through, hence the switch.

Now the Sanouks have this funny Duckfoot stance thingy, and each pair seems to have a R and L ski, is this just the graphics? Or is there actually something asymmetric on the skis?

I'm guessing no, but squaretail correct me before it's too late.

Not Squaretail but I have a pair ..
    and a clue
and the duck foot deal is cosmetic only.

No problem switching right and left except that mine have the samuri dude on them and seem to go faster when he is put together properly.

i think (fairly sure) that the duckfoot shit is only graphics. I am mounting mine in the next few weeks, and am going to try to mount them normal so if i blow out an edge i can switch it.

I'll remember that when I finally get to try mine out (got a used pair in June...having been waiting for a big dump ever since ).

There is nothing 'duck' about the skis themselves - they are totally interchangeable L to R.

The duck notation on the graphic is a subtle idea to mount the bindings duck, though I have never seen anyone other than us do it.

Cheers for the comformation... I was about 98% certain that was the case .

BTW, I've seen atleast 2 guys mount Sanouks with a few degree Duckstance... Both were finns.

Also, you should looked to see if the samurai guy is smiling on a pow day.

Squaretail: I had a shop owner tell me that the original blue ones are a bit stiffer than the faux wood topsheet ones. Anything to that?
