NX21 vs. S914/S916 Performance

Done the search and can't find the answer-I cleared a few hundred feet of vert near my house for some very tight tree skiing (arm width apart shit) and am considering an AT binding set up over alpine. I have never skied an AT binding. My question is how much performance is sacrificed and is it a weird transition to go from 20 mm stand height (my S914 and S916) to 43 mm (Naxos)? Proud to be a supreme jong.

Also, if its only a few hundred vert... why not bootpack?
Probably not worth the loot if this is the only touring you're gonna do.

Sounds like good bootpacking. Not worth putting on skins for unless you were quick with it.....which you could be. I would think you would want a lighter 12 din binding for tighter skiing like that, bootpacking. Or any AT binding, maybe even dynafits? With skins that you can take on and off real quick? Real nice for doing quick laps, like having your own little ski area.....sweet.

I saw you're in MN....they get good snow, don't they?
