Wow, got up a little late and went right up the ridge. The sign said D route was open so we set out south. Got out there only to find the gate closed. I stood there arguing with my anal partner about trying to ski back north. Just then up side steps the patrol to open the gate. Skied the north entrance to Z in an attempt to beat the Slushi's hikers. Sickest run of my short Bridger career. Spent most of it fully submerged. I agree with gointhewater, thanks so much Bridger patrol.

not much to say that hasn't already been said.
super deep turns off the ridge. kind of insane to get faceshots riding 195 praxis powder boards, but that's the kind of day it was.
fortunately, my ragged turns down whirlpool got cut from the video of the day.
huge props to patrol - very impressed to see the ridge open first thing and schlasman's open, especially with the wind.

any word on those injuries that shut down schalsman's? all i heard was back injury and knee injury.
We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

    Damn gointhewater. Damn! I mean...DAMN!

I went into web media lockdown this past week - no BB TGR thread viewing, no daily vid viewing. Now I wish I hadn't! Seeing these earlier in the week would have helped me get through the weekly work slog.

Looking to be back up with you guys very soon.

p.s. That was me in the chopper. I earned my pilots license during the downtime.

Yesterday on Saddle Peak was a shit show. One guy triggered a small slide that might have sent him over the Death Cliffs - the guy was alone and it looked like he had no clue where he was going. After shattering the snow just above the cliffs he then traversed back towards Schlasmans across a few more similar aspects.

Also there were two idiots skiing a higher wind loaded slope 15-20 feet apart from one another. They skied it at the same time together, and displayed a blatant lack of common sense.

Unfortunately this is what skiing at Bridger is about now, little or no regard for avy danger, wide open hanging snow field with a dozen lines punched right down the center of it every single pow day. But hey, they probably had avalungs so nothing to worry about. Stay safe out there.

Settle down there, chicken little. Those lines get punched every single day, pow or not, the beauty of an open boundary is folks can choose their own comfort level, one of the perks of our little ski hill...

Granted you won't see me hangin it out cause for me and my crew what skiin @ BB is about is family, friends, and fun, plenty of that goin around lately, Stoke level is high with sunshine and some tenex198/igband maggot sightings today, props to the Dr. for putting on the PHd jamboree, see you fools tomorrow. w00t!

So that isn't an unsubstantiated rumor? Yay, more playtime.

Will Big Sky be staying open till 5pm again later this season? And till 4/25, right?

Yes, but... there's a fine line between choosing your own comfort level and endangering others.

Whoah..hadn't heard the schlasman's rumor. That would be rad.

Cmon, everbody knows you can't trigger a slide if you're traversing, that's the safe way into everything, like far right on the football field, into the middle of Argentina Bowl, and now back to Slushmans from Saddle, why the hell not?

Sweet shots guys, really like the bottom two of Shreddys, can't quite figure out where that is there on the left. Closeup is so hawt. Sweet framing of the snowboarder going into Dogleg, Norse.

You guys should all be so jealous of me, cruising around the dog walker trails on my mountain bike for 5 weeks now. F. M. L! New parts for the knee March 2nd, way hotter lines than any of you next year, woot WOOT!

We should still throw that party sometime. April maybe? I'm not a good planner.

Well I sure am going to miss Bridger, but I have to say it was the best month of skiing I have ever had! I may not measure up to most of you guys as the daily video showed today but atleast I looked better than most of the telemarkers on the video today I hope.
Nice to meet you today Lexi-Bell.
I will truely miss this place, it is something special!

Glad you had a good time, leftyt!

Can anyone confirm the rumors of a Bridger Bowl game of GNAR in the works?
