    Know your '80s (NSR)

Here's a good time-wasting quiz if you're bored at work.

    http://www.yetanotherdot.com/asp/80s.html

Final score - 61.7. Amazing how much crap the brain retains.

    Talking

    31.5:
    two things to note

    1. I was born in 1980 and most of these things were gone as I started finding my tastes in music

    2. Like most things from the 80's even the popular music (and some of the underground) was vapid. (hmmm somehow that came out as a dig on me)

84.5 and I probably could have squeeked out a couple of more given time. I think on the first pass, I still had 15 songs blank. Frustrating.....

Edit: Cleaning up all the freaking typos I made, the score went to 96.5. I need a proofreader!!

    14 points!

I guess the fact that I was living in Alaska with no TV and no radio means I pretty much missed that whole decade.

81 points, but I'm protesting two questions.

Couldn't ask for a better score. High enough that I don't have to be ashamed for lack of knowledge, low enough that I don't have to be ashamed for hideous taste in life.

I just kept getting the previous question's song in my head, thus making it all that more frustrating on the next fill-in. fun though.

    112.

I was between the ages of ten and twenty during the '80s, so it's right in my wheelhouse!

Why the hell is Hotel California in this quiz? That came out in the mid '70s for sure.

    Straight Dope - Too funny

There was this fireworks factory just three blocks from the Hotel California . . . and it blew up! Big tragedy. One of the workers was named Wurn Snell and he was from the town of Colitas in Greece. One of the workers who escaped the explosion talked to another guy . . . I think it was probably Don Henley . . . and Don asked what the guy saw. The worker said, "Wurn Snell of Colitas . . . rising up through the air."
