    PLEASE TELL ME TRADE NAME OF SKIING SPEED METER !!!

    it was in last "skiing" magazine anyone remeber the name my ma wants to buy me one so i find out how much to fast I really am !!!!

    It's called a Silva Tech4O snow speedometer. I have serious doubts as to its accuracy, fwiw.

    For the 260 quoted in the magazine, you could buy a radar gun, which would be far more accurate.

    I hear if you mess with the voltage you can change the wavelength so it can vaporize people's clothes. Neat trick.

    There are some really cool BlueTooth GPS things.....you just put in pocket and come home and download all your speeds (plus they track your route etc).

    or just ski with a regular gps in your pocket - they all have 'max speed' features now. you can just check it on the lift to see how fast you got that run.
