Jackson mags, Contructing East Ridge Chair- Day 1-2

I just got into town the other day with these guys and myself and some buddies already got a gig helping build the rest of the East Ridge Chair. Despite the long, cold, snowy days, its been worth it (and glad to be contributing). We even snuck in a tram ride.

Day 1

Unloading at tower 3

11,000 lb spool that we would soon string to the top and back

The winch that never works for more than 10min, safetly secured to the lift towers

Day 2

Dumping at 7:30am, we couldn't make it further and had to call a dozer to plow us the rest of the way

The dozer finally shows up after 2 hours

Don headed up to help with the line that came off the wheels and delayed us in a blizzard for an extra hour and a half

Me trying to control the spool speed with a railroad tie, it really only provided friction and started smoking.

Headed up tomorrow early. Bout a foot and a half of snow at the base of Rendevous (some deeper drifts). Things are looking good.

glad to see you guys finally made it out there... i talked to dub the other night, sounds like you guys are living the dream... hopefully i'll see you in feb... oh and nice segment in Snow Gods

The cold weather arrived this morning with a large rain storm last night and blustering winds this morning... Waterville PD think that colby students are worse than the meth heads or prostitutes in waterville so that sucks, but other than that its still the place to be
