WTF is going on with SAC today?

What is SAC?

Its fubarred. I tried to order some square wires earlier and kept getting a high volume traffic errror. Hopefully I will still get a pair.

I tried to buy one of the Dakine Vertex packs, thought that none of my order attempts got processed, never got any confirmation numbers and ended up with three of them.

just call backcountry and speak with a real person. It'll make you feel better.

I got sacced this morning. Tried to buy the dakine pack and kept getting the high volume message. Called and they said too early, had to be online. I had to go to work so my wife kept trying and trying, ZIP. Finaly got somone on the phone and after 1 hour they said too bad, out of stock.

This is the second time we got screwed. A few weeks ago we ordered packs, the order was accepted and I had to call to find out the order was cancelled.

Phunk, great work with IM. We can get the info, but how about getting the rest of the program working?

I tried to order the same pack online and had trouble with the order going through. After about 5 minutes the computer would tell me there was and error and to try again later. So I called SAC and got someone from the after hours/overflow group. The guy's accent and his basic lack of ability to help led me to believe he may live in another county. He did tell me that they usually keep a couple extras back for situations like this. That comment surprised me because i thought SAC didn't do that.

Later in the morning I called back to see if any of my orders went through. Turns out the guy who helped originally was wrong and that SAC doesn't hold back a few items. But it turns out all of my orders went through so now I had three backpacks being mailed. I was able to cancel 2 orders though. The guy who recorded the answer message was the one I talked to and was extremely helpful.

Just when I thought I had my first bad experience with SAC they totally come through in the end. Now I'm getting a good pack for under $30.
