    Will it F*ckin dump already?

[rant]All these trip reports out of Colorada and "its dumping here" threads are really starting to piss me off. Here in UT, we are getting shat upon with shitty ass rain showers and these lousy dustings of snow that melt off in the same day. I'm sick of it and am going to blow a gasket! Someone give me hope before I go mad!
    [/whiny pissy rant]

So does anyone know what the winter forecast looks like for Utah? Is there any hope of resorts opening by late Oct?

It's only October. In two months when you've got 280 inches, and Colorado has 62, you can rub our noses in it (nothing like rubbing your nose in a little snow). And by the way... We're supposed to get 18" in the Colo. rockies tonight! Oh Yeah!

Is there? I can really only go Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings. I've been leary of going because of all the rain and mud..I dont want to be the cause of nasty trail erosion.

Don't feel bad. It's still just pretending to snow here too.

At this point, I beg the Coloraggots to refrain from any jinxing...

You guys will get yours. You always do. (I hope you do, anyway).

Yep, we had a really sweet Crest ride just the other weekend. Yes it was muddy, but SO worth it. I just think that you should take up your time with riding your bike instead of cursing it to snow.

It will come and you will be stoked, just wait for it.

Edit: I was talking to your wife at the BC.com party and she said she really wanted to ride sometime soon, I was glad to hear her say that!

Agreed!!! There will be plenty of snow soon enough.

The crest ride was super fun, but seriously....you should have seen me after my lap at the 24 hrs......I thought I was muddy that day on crest, but I was a complete mud disaster this weekend.

How long do brake pads last in flash flood conditions??? No more than 15 miles....I wore through a new set on the rear from the water/mud mix.

It will snow soon enough, then we'll be wondering when we can ride bikes again.

I agree with shmoesmith. I am tweaking out here and ready for some snow. This dusting was a ski tease!

Ahhh...leave it to the UT magettes to calm my snow rage. I hear the BC.com party was a blast. Heard there might have been fighting again this year? Yeah, I'm sure my wife does want to go riding again. She loves that new bike of hers...soon enough, if I dont upgrade my ride, she'll be kickin my ass.

I love biking, but for me, its a 'tide me over' until it snows again. The only months I didnt ride the snow this year were July and August (soon to be October if it doesnt dump any time soon)

It is snowing in Teton Valley right now. 2 inches on my truck and still falling...YES! I can go outside and stick my tongue out and catch flakes in my mouth. That should make you feel better.

I just smashed a snowball on my head and it felt great.

Lived in Utah for 10 years; no need to worry about snow there. I think it was the 95-96 season no snow well into December, the only skiing at Christmas was man made, then we got over 200 inches in the frist two weeks of January and finshed the year with well over 500 inches. I was worried and the long time locals where not. Plus it is only October....last year was my first year in Colorado and it was an "epic" year here; Vail got around 400 inches, I believe, which is a bad year in Utah. No need to worry in the land of Zion.
