I used to swear by my 5 mils until I got 7 mils. But I'm a bit up the coast in Maine, so 5 mils should be fine unless your feet get cold easy.

If your core is warm, 5 or 7mm won't make too much of a difference, buy what fit'sbest and feels best, it sucks to have ronald mcdonald shoes on while surfing.
A trip to Hawaii is worth it,or Puerto Rico from your side of the planet.
hahaha. thanks guys for the reality check.
yah i usually do a trip to CR... but thinking PR might be the way to go this year.

i use 7mm Rip Curl booties. i have had them for about 4 yrs. now, no complaints. They are super warm, never had any cold feet problems.
thanks dude. where do you end up going? up to NH or down to RI.... or along the MA coasts?

right on. right on. when there are waves, now i spend most of my time floating around the south shore.
