Taking a powder

Not that this has anything remotely to do with the "currently illegal" thread, but I am at the moment interested in blowing all this mess off and moving to a place far, far away.

I love it that this is referred to as "taking a powder".

So, any advice? I would prefer to leave the country, maybe move to the alps and get a job as a ski instructor. I would of course, need easy access to swiss banks and would prefer a place where the clients are very very friendly.

Is that anything like being the master of your own domain? Cause it can't last that long. You gotta give in to the urges eventually. And why do you need to buy land inorder to do so?

Grrrr - go for it. I don't know much about your situation, but I like the term "taking a powder"

If you buy some land you can have the himalayans as your serfs, and you the feudal lord. Not so bad

All I can say is follow your dreams and the rest will work its way out....I know someone who left everything (good job, friends and close family) to move out across Canada to a new city to do what he's always dreamt of...skiing and biking. And now he's happily living his wet dream.

Actually, I am seriously considering this. I haven't broken any laws -- yet, but I may very well if I do it. My ex is trying to screw me over, and I have more than half a mind to take the money and run. What I need is a foreign country to move to, a quick way to move my money outside of the country and a job that would keep me from spending all my savings...
