PSA - Most CL PSA's suck!

    [whistle]

Ref here. I'd like to put Craigslist PSA's in the same category as announcing ebay auctions, i.e. DON'T FUCKING DO IT! We all know how to use craigslist, and these PSA's could result in bidding wars and subsequent higher prices for people who actually went out and located the deals on CL.

    Thoughts?

I think you need to calm down

We're sorta like 7-Eleven. We're not always doing business, but we're always open.

Disagree -- CL is like ebay buy-it-now; there's only 1 item (usually), and CL PSAs are helpful if there's an item on some other CL that isn't local to me... i.e., if there's some 190 W105s for $50 on Denver's CL, and someone wants to pick them up for me, that's a useful PSA.

I dunno man, it seems like it helps keep good deals on good gear inside the maggot community.

No one can be on CL day and night and I for one have appreciated the occasional pointer and have never been in a bidding war.

Hard for me to agree, since the 183 Gots that are leaning against my kitchen wall right now were purchased from some dude in SLC that I was alerted to on here.

I will say that you should be careful posting CL PSA's, the item should be a good to ridiculously good deal on something in demand.

Craigslist is hit and miss anyway. I've posted a couple of PSAs on here regarding gear on CL. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It's good to keep putting out the possibility of a great deal for people here. If you don't like CL PSAs you don't have to pursue them. Its like a hot tip at the racetrack. Eventually someone will clean up.

I'm with what seems to be the consensus on this.....keep good deals in the community and give people the possibility of getting a great deal....plus if you dont like 'CL PSA's' stay the fuck away from the link when they're posted and pretend they never happened

I'm taking this back, as I was having a caffeine-plus-Nyquil-induced brain cramp... Imho, dibs make up for bidding wars, so if someone missed out - that's just SOL. Life sucks, get a helmet.

After what happened with those 920s I was a little annoyed. But what can you do, we all love cheap bindings.
