Police in the UK have recovered 22 chemical components of explosives from 2 men in Pendle - wherever the hell that is. This is believed to be the largest haul of explosive components ever found at a house in the UK. Also found in the house were rocket launchers(s), literature and a nuclear biological suit.
Sounds like a big deal?
Now, here's why you won't hear about it:
The folks in question are Robert Cottage (49), of Talbot Street, Colne, and David Bolus Jackson (62), of Trent Road, Nelson. Cottage is an ex-BNP member who stood as a candidate in the Pendle Council elections in May.
Yep, home-grown, right-wing, anglo-saxon extremists. It's McVeigh for the U.K.
Regardless of whether or not this story is accurate, and it might not be, imagine if the two men were Muslim. Do you think the press would stick to quiet, restrained headlines buried deep in the paper until they had a full airing of all the facts? Or do you think they would have splashed it all over the front page?
