How long do burns take to heal?

So, I was doing a burnout with my motorcycle...in shorts...and when the bike skitched to the right a bit I burned the shit out of my calf area right where my ski boot is going to go. yeah, not the sharpest tool..etc etc. believe me, there's a side of me that isn't a dumbass somewhere waiting to emerge any day now.

    dammit.

I thought it was no biggie yesterday, now I wake up and all the skin is gone from that spot.

I've had lots of burns but I've never really paid much attention to how long they take to heal. Shit, you guys think this is going to be a problem in a month and a half?

I had a 50 cent piece sized 2nd degree burn to my foot about 2 months ago (blistering of the skin) and it took about 2.5-3 weeks to heal fully.

Keep it clean and moist and it will heal much quicker than if you let it scab over. Wash with water and soap only, no peroxide or iodine. Cover with bacitracin and a non-stick pad of some sort.

    thanks..

all I was finding online was "time varies" and other non-specifics.

I discovered that I have some sweet prescription anti-bacterial powder that I am now using. It's hot shit.

The challenge is going to be to keep it from getting infected whilst still playing hockey.
