    Utards Help! Need Ortho Stat!

My wrist is fuXored. Though seems it's more at the end of my forearm, near the wrist. I did some internet diagnosin' with much pain on the keyboard and think I narrowed it down to "Squeaker's Wrist." AKA "Bugaboo Forearm" and "peritendinitis crepitans."

All I know is the motion of opening a jar kills. I've been icing and it's just getting worse. Although I went snowboarding yesterday and I'm sure tightening bindings ain't good for it.

Anyhow....the only other ortho I've seen (Russ Toronto) is a week out.

Can anyone recommend anyone? At this stage I don't know if I'm gonna be able to attend the mini unless I have someone to tighten my bindings for me. Anyone want to caddy?

    Fork.

Call Dr. Edwards in Bountiful, 295-7200. I don't think he does wrists, but his partners do, they're all really good.

Or you could call Fiona, remember her. She's going to take the screws out of my knee so I don't have to pay my doctor, kind of interesting, eh?

Shit, I'll do that for free too. I got a workshop in the basement with all sorts of screwdrivers, cordless drill, blowtorches, ductape and soundproof gimp rooms.

Squeak wrist, limp digit, tendonitis, whatever you call it sucks. I've had it a ton working the crab and salmon boats in AK and WA.

Ibuprofin, any anti inflamatory works best...it;ll go away in a few days. The old time crabbers used to tell the greenhorns to piss on their wrist when it got like that...so....piss on yer wrist and see if it works.

yeah, it's tendonitis. and it fukkin hurts. doc prescribed some expensive anti-inflam ($70, no generic, fuuuuuk that) so I'm making ibuprofin milkshakes.

My daily squeak wrist (and general soreness/stiffness) aid program during a two-three month opilio (snow) crab season in AK.
    Breakfast-800mg

    Mid morning- 600 mg

    Lunch-600mg

    afternoon (as needed)

    After Dinner-600mg

    Before any short "sleep"-1000mg

Otherwise, you end up waking up in the fetal position and can't unclench hands or stretch out limbs without a ton of effort and pain. I try not to take the stuff anymore since I most likely damaged some vital organ with this program.

Don't worry Jay, I'm sure we can find someone on the hill who knows how to strap ya in to a snowmoboard [anyone, anyone?]. But hey, once you're in skis, you don't have to worry about it.

Hell, do I gotta do everything??

If you are hurting that bad, I can help you with your binders ya pansy. Seriously, I will help. I kinda know how to do that anyway.

Buy me a beer or 3 though.

Hey, I went to get the cast cut off my wrist/hand a couple weeks ago and Dr. Hammon in SLC did a great job. He really knew what he was talking about (specializes in hands and wrists)...as opposed to the doc in Snowmass who said, "You probably fractured a couple bones in your hand but I can't be sure...so I'll just put a cast on it." Hammon X-rayed it again and just sent me home with a brace so I was pumped about that. Here is his info:

    Hammon Dan J MD Orthopedics
    370 9th Ave Ste 205
    Salt Lake City, UT
    Phone: (801) 408-8700

Give him a call...he saw me in about 3 days.
