Now when you are done reading this go rip some schit up!
Nice history lesson:
"('Glorious' or 'Brilliant') was the Norse hunter-god of winter and also death. He was an archer depicted with skis and snowshoes, clad in thick furs, and carrying a longbow made of yew. He was also known as Ull, Uller, or Oller. The Anglo-Saxons knew him as Vulder, while in parts of Germany he is Holler, the husband of Holda. He was the son of Sif (some say Ovandrill), the fertility-goddess of the autumn harvest and an unknown father (presumably a frost giant). His stepfather was Thor, though some say Thor was his father. He married the winter huntress Skadi after she divorced Niord.
His abode was in Ydal ('Yew Valley'). As his name is found in place names in Scandinavia he was obviously once a highly revered god. In summer he retreated northward, into the high mountains, or even into Helheim. However, in winter he assumed Odin's place in Asgard, holding sway also over Midgard. Some say he took possession of Frigga during Odin's absence. This follows the familiar IE myth where the summer and winter gods take turns possessing the fertility goddess. However, being the miserly sort, he never bestowed any bounty upon the humans of Midgard. He also had some overlap with Odin, for sometimes he rode in the Wild Hunt - and sometimes led it. He was adopted into Christianity as St. Hubert, the patron saint of hunters.
The month preceding the winter solstice (Yule time) was his month. Norse invoked him in personal duels, for he was recognized as having the powers to shield, as with his snows shielding the earth in winter."
Now I have to go finish my work and get my ass to utah.
