    Vision issue

Not quite sure where to put this

So about two weeks ago my right eye started twitching, not just the eyelid but the eyeball itself. It's almost like the muscles are just exhausted and I just can't seem to make it stop without closing they eye for a while or partially covering it. Reading is fine, so is looking at the 'puter screen. Focus and clarity are also fine at a distance but after a few minutes with a wide field of vision the eye starts twitching. So tonight I tried partially covering my eye like I had a blinder on and the twitch went away almost immediately. This is creating problems like with depth perception which is a bit scary while driving. I'll feel like I'm about to drive into the divider or off onto the shoulder but when I double check myself I'm centered in the lane just fine (like instinct has taken over).

On one level this has me worried like will I take out a tree skiing this winter and then I think "you stupid fuck this is more important than that." Then I started thinking more seriously - I just turned 40, everyone in my family wears glasses and I've been rough on myself for a long time so maybe there really is something wrong. I haven't really taken any good knocks to the noggin for a long time so unless there are residual effects from that I think I can rule it out. Like I said, the aging thing is catching up with me so maybe this is a manifestation of that but I hope not.

The only other thing that I can come up with is I've been smoking weed for more than half my life now and recently have been having a hard time finding it (haven't really tried too hard either) so it's been about two weeks since I've smoked, could I be physically missing the muscle relaxing effects or is it a withdrawal symptom? If that's all it is then apparently I have a mission tomorrow

    Any ideas?

Ummm what part of going to the eye doctor is eluding you?

    Go to the eye docotor

Seconded. Vision is NOT a sense I'd put at risk by delaying the doc visit...just my $0.02......now GO!

tired eyes + family history of eyewear = appt with eye doc. The fatige is prolly your eyes trying to focus constantly becaause of changes to your vision + you are just plain old.

    Thanks buddy

I had an appointment with the eye doctor last week but he got nailed with a big DUI and is currently suspended so I'm looking for another that takes my med insurance.
