Im confused....I just found this article on Biglines.....

Fifteen women and seventy-seven men skied Tower 3's rocky entrance, and unique lines
to vie for a position in Wednesday's World Tour event. "This venue gave skiers a
chance to ski the same lines, and really separated the 'men from the boys,'" said
event director Dave Swanwick. "This was some of the best qualifying skiing I've ever
seen." Local ripper Libby Biittner stole the show for the women, skiing aggressively
for the qualifying win. Cliff Bennett schooled the guys, taking the win for the men.

A second day of qualifying had been planned, but weather cooperated more for
powderhounds than event competitors. On Tuesday, after waiting for weather to clear,
the second runs of qualifying were cancelled due to low visibility. Competitors were
able to enjoy a day of powder skiing, to prepare for Wednesday's World Tour
competition, which will commence on at 9:00am Silver Fox.

Doesnt this mean that MD won't get another day? and because of the weather he was cut??

Right now, as I sit in my cube typing this, MD9 and about 50 other rippers are just demolishing Silverfox. Go git 'em, dood!

That's kind of a sad thought.

Jane, I'm sorry you didn't get to go.... bummer luck, that's all. Next time! There's always France, you know...

    anngght! Wrong answer.

6 guys ran today before it was finally called at 2:30 for weather (aka zero visibility and assloads of pow) those 6 scores will be scrapped. tomorrow, all the guys are running on silverfox.

the girls did get their runs in this morning and will do another run tomorrow on silver fox after the guys go. on friday everyone will be running on north baldy.

Somehow, that doesn't make me feel any better about sitting in my cube, though.

It's all good, though, 'cause I'll be there on Friday!

Well the title of this thread is still appropriate. Re's post is correct. We got shut down again today. I'll go back up for more tomorrow. It's crazy I've been at the bird all week and I've only skied one competition run. It's driving me nuts.

Jamie Burge took a bad fall through some rocks today. It looked like she had recovered and was OK, but shortly after getting back up she fell over again. They carted her off the hill. She was at the athlete meeting at the end of the day on crutches. Hopefully she'll be fine. She seemed to be in really good spirits and was joking around quite a bit.

I did get to ski a lot of awesome pow today though. Fortunately I'm 4th from the last to run the course so I could go ski while others waited on deck. I met up with Slip and cruised a lot of stashes further down from tower three. I also met alto by chance today. I was chatting with a couple of other competitors and he mentioned that we worked at the Deep Powder House at Alta. I told him that I knew a guy that worked there through an internet message board named "alto" he laughed and said that that was him. I won't say what place he finished in the qualifier in case he doesn't want people knowing his name but he was on the podium and it's his first comp too.

    We'll try again tomorrow.

Good luck meat! I'll be there watching. I think I almost met you the other day when you were talking to KD, but I didn't know it was you until later and he didn't introduce me. Regardless, rock out and I'll see you at the TC tomorrow night.
