Swix Mach CT 1 poles good?

I realize there have been enought SAC posts lately but I know nothing about these poles, are they any good?
My old ass bent up LEKI's are well past their prime.

Who the hell in their right mind would ever pay $224 for ski poles, goddam composite shafts.

I thought SWIX only made waxing products, aparently not.

you can get them much cheaper, I use the viper (round), racerchik uses the airfoils ............ much lighter, yet stiff..powder baskets are not too hard to hind either

Swix makes like 80% of the xc racing poles used on the WC circuit I think. Frikkin great alpine poles too, only they're expensive. Viper and Cobra poles are good too, but the foils have that coolness factor going for them.

they make great race poles but more expensive than what i would would ever pay (for their composites at least, i have a pair of their alloy) does not seem worth it for freeing to me...

I picked up a pair on SAC. They look real nice and if they are anywhere nearly as good as my 20 year old Ice WC, I will be happy. I tend to bend the AL ones .

Do you know how expensive it is to live in Norway? You go to a bar and it'll easily cost you ten bucks for a pint of beer!

Swix also makes great gloves. Their XC gloves are the best spring gloves I have ever used, and also kick ass for winter cycling (the reason I actually bought them in the first place)

I posted this somewhere else, but yes they are great poles.

I have the vipers, and bought powder baskets since i only freeski. very light and super stiff, plus the have a lifetime warantee. plus i really like that yellow tab that goes over your hand, very comfortable.

also, not really useful, but bode uses swix poles.

They look nice, but I will let you know how the perform in a couple of months.

What to do use for Ice baskets? I have a hard time finding ones that fit.
