Do the good Baron's forecasts cover the southern illinois/eastern missouri region in addition to Chicagoland? It's great to have such a stellar weather resource in the Midwest.

Hopefully, he'll give us the heads-up as to when he's headed to SLC - those will be the times to go...

I did, but better yet I have a wall of 12 foot tall north facing windows and sat in the dark watching the light show. Got a couple pics of the bolts before it started to rain but did not quite get the camera dialed in before the wall of water forced me to bail.

Here's a pic, that's the Sears Tower all the way on the right edge. That bolt directly hit the Tower's antennae.

Wow. Truth, your shot is the boobies, for sure, but that shot of God's flashlight on the loop is unreal.
    It's idomatic, beatch.

RB, that shot's the real deal...looks like the same strike I caught hitting the Sears Tower. South Loop would ahv ebeen the place to be for the show last night. I wish i'd have been on the ball and been set up proper before the deluge.

Is the next wave as bad as the one last night?

Nah, today won't be like last night, but the threat of tornados is higher - though it really only exists well north of downtown, and west of O'Hare.

Two more from the same guy, not a pro - just likes taking lightning pix, lives on the 6th floor facing north around 1600 S State, I believe.....
